Remembering Danny Duran: A Tribute to a Prominent Entertainment Publicist

Danny Duran, a prominent entertainment publicist with over 25 years of experience, passed away at the age of 58 after a courageous battle with cancer. He began his career at Walt Disney Studios and later joined Sandra Bullock's production company, Fortis Films. Duran founded ddPR in 2000, with Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment as one of his first clients. Throughout his career, he worked with various film and talent clients, including Roadside Attractions, Sony Pictures, and Universal.

Known for his personal approach, Duran handled personal publicity for actors like Jon Hamm and Beth Grant. He was described as a tireless champion by colleagues and friends, always supporting causes he believed in. Duran's impact on the publicity field was significant, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Born in Los Angeles and a graduate of CSU Bakersfield, Duran was a dedicated supporter and board member of The Trevor Project, an organization focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youth. Donations in his memory can be made to The Trevor Project. He is survived by his husband, Blain, his sister Daniella, brother-in-law Kevin, nieces Alanna and Isabelle, and parents Marie and Danny Sr.
