New Jersey Couple Pleads Guilty to Running Prostitution Ring at Sayreville Strip Club

A couple from New Jersey confessed to running a prostitution ring at their strip club in Sayreville as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors. Doreen and Anthony Acciardi, residents of Freehold, will pay $705,000 in unpaid taxes to avoid jail time. The couple was accused of overseeing a prostitution operation at Club 35 on Route 35, where dancers allegedly engaged in sexual activities with patrons in VIP rooms. Authorities claimed that the illegal business generated millions in revenue, which the Acciardis failed to report for tax purposes. The couple's guilty pleas highlight the consequences of engaging in illegal activities and tax evasion, according to state Attorney General Matt Platkin.

The Acciardis, along with two associates, Jeanine Nichols and Jason Portes, pleaded guilty to charges of maintaining a house of prostitution and failing to pay income tax. As part of the plea deal, approximately $420,000 in cash seized from the club will be used to offset the taxes owed. The strip club will remain operational but will be subject to independent monitoring until January 1, 2030, to ensure compliance with the law. The monitoring period aims to prevent any further illegal activities at the establishment and hold the Acciardis accountable for their actions.
