Miley Cyrus Reflects on Hannah Montana Days and Teases Experimental New Album

Miley Cyrus recently shared that Disney had restricted her from performing songs from her Hannah Montana days after the show ended in 2011. The popular Disney Channel TV series featured Cyrus as a pop singer leading a double life to maintain a sense of normalcy. Despite releasing multiple albums during her time with Disney, Cyrus expressed mixed feelings about not being able to perform those songs anymore.

In a recent interview, Cyrus explained that it wouldn't have made sense for her to perform Hannah Montana songs alongside her newer hits like "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball." She admitted feeling sad about not being allowed to sing songs that were a significant part of her career. However, after being inducted as a Disney Legend, she was granted permission to perform those songs again, which she found pretty cool.

Cyrus, who recently released her latest album 'Something Beautiful,' received positive reviews for the project, with critics praising her artistic growth and experimentation. The album is complemented by a film of the same name, directed by Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter, set to be screened in cinemas for one night only. Despite her success, Cyrus revealed that fellow Disney Legend Harrison Ford advised her against a unique promotional idea for the album.

Looking ahead, Cyrus hinted at her next album being "extremely experimental," exciting fans with the promise of new musical directions. Additionally, there has been speculation about Cyrus possibly referencing Dua Lipa in her latest track 'Every Girl You've Ever Loved.'
