International Operation Leads to Arrest of 20 Individuals in Child Sexual Abuse Material Distribution Network

A recent cross-border operation conducted in 12 countries in Europe and the Americas has resulted in the arrest of 20 individuals involved in the distribution of child sexual abuse material. The operation, spearheaded by Spanish police, was initiated after the discovery of online messaging groups sharing exploitative images of children. Among the arrested suspects were a health care worker and a teacher in Spain, with allegations ranging from paying minors for explicit images to possessing and disseminating child sexual abuse material online. In Latin America, authorities apprehended 10 suspects across seven countries, including educators in El Salvador and Panama. Additional suspects have been identified, totaling 68, with ongoing investigations in progress.
