Small Town Shock: Teenagers Accused of Murdering Maryland Business Owner

Two teenagers, Jonah Poole and Kylee Dakes, have been accused of murdering a Maryland business owner, Edward Koza, in a shocking crime that has rocked their small town. Koza's body was found in his burning pickup truck outside his gardening supply store, Tropic Bay Water Gardens. The 67-year-old had been severely beaten, with his hands and mouth bound and taped. Investigators believe Koza was assaulted inside the store before being forced into the back of his truck.
Poole and Dakes were arrested a week after the murder. Surveillance footage showed Poole wearing a Bass Pro Shops hat similar to one found at the crime scene. The couple was seen buying gasoline at a gas station, which police believe was used to set Koza's truck on fire. Cell phone records also placed Poole at the scene of the crime.
The motive behind the murder remains unclear, but Poole is facing additional charges for a burglary at a nearby restaurant that occurred a week before Koza's murder. The community has been shocked by the crime, with neighbors expressing disbelief that teenagers could be involved in such a heinous act.
Both Poole and Dakes are facing charges of first-degree murder, arson, and assault. Residents of Harwood, where the crime took place, believe that the teenagers should face the maximum punishment for their actions. The tragic incident has left many wondering what could have driven the young couple to commit such a violent crime.
