Inside Miley Cyrus's Grammy Win, Album Journey, and Tonight Show Fun

Miley Cyrus shared her experience of winning her first Grammy for “Flowers” last year, revealing that she knew she would win when she saw Mariah Carey in the crowd. The singer explained that the Grammy was never her main focus, but seeing Mariah Carey, whose album Butterfly had been a significant influence on her, made her feel confident about winning.
Cyrus also talked about her new album, Something Beautiful, and how it almost took a different direction until Harrison Ford advised her to reconsider the expensive and ambitious plans she had for the project. Following Ford's advice, Cyrus made changes to her project, which was initially called Somewhere Beautiful and involved playing shows in unique locations.
During her appearance on The Tonight Show, Cyrus discussed her nerves before performing at the SNL 50 special and her cover of Prince's “Nothing Compares 2 U.” She also teased host Jimmy Fallon about his breathless opening musical bit and offered to help him get in shape for the summer by teaching him how to dance in high heels.
To demonstrate, Cyrus brought out a pair of chunky boots with four-inch heels for Fallon to wear while learning the choreography for her song “Easy Lover.” Fallon embraced the challenge, putting on the boots and attempting the dance moves, showcasing the importance of rehearsing in the shoes you plan to perform in.
The Something Beautiful film will have a one-night-only theatrical release on June 12. Catch Miley Cyrus's entertaining appearance on The Tonight Show for more fun moments and insights into her music and projects.
