Tragic Case of Neglect: Nevada Dog Owner Charged After French Bulldog Dies in Extreme Heat
A dog owner in Nevada has been charged with leaving her French bulldog, Jazzy, in a kennel outside during high temperatures, leading to the dog's death. Olivia Underwood, 30, left Jazzy in the crate while she went to work for a 12-hour shift at the University Medical Center. Despite the scorching 107-degree weather in Las Vegas, Underwood failed to check on Jazzy when she returned home. Neighbors eventually discovered Jazzy in distress and attempted to help by pouring water over her, but it was too late. Underwood was arrested and charged with willful/malicious/torture/maim/kill dog by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
