Operation Last Stand: Raid on South Carolina Nightclub Uncovers Cartel Involvement and Fugitive Arrest

A nightclub in South Carolina, known as The Alamo, was raided by federal immigration agents, resulting in the arrest of over 70 illegal migrants, including a Honduran fugitive wanted for homicide. The club, suspected to be operated by the Los Zetas Cartel, was a hub for narcotics, weapons, and human trafficking. The raid, named "Operation Last Stand," involved around 200 law enforcement personnel from 14 agencies and led to 80 arrests, including the apprehension of Sergio Joel Galo-Baca, a Honduran fugitive with an INTERPOL Red Notice for homicide.

The owner of the club, Benjamin Reyna-Flores, is facing state and federal charges for his alleged involvement with the cartel. The operation also uncovered firearms, bulk cash, and potential trafficking victims, including a missing juvenile. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster commended the law enforcement efforts, emphasizing the crackdown on criminal activities facilitated by open borders.

Law enforcement officials had been investigating the nightclub since November following noise complaints. During the raid, agents executed 116 arrest warrants, resulting in the apprehension of individuals with criminal and immigration-related charges. Witnesses described the chaotic scene inside the club as agents and deputies issued commands, leading to arrests for various offenses such as assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and drug and firearm possession.

The successful operation was a collaborative effort between ICE, Homeland Security Investigations, and local law enforcement agencies. The crackdown on criminal activities at the nightclub underscores the commitment to maintaining public safety and enforcing immigration laws. The arrests made during the raid send a strong message to fugitives and law-breakers that they will be held accountable for their actions.
