Babysitter Caught on Video Beating Young Boys in the Bronx: NYPD Seeks Arrest Warrant

The NYPD is seeking an arrest warrant for a babysitter who was caught on video beating two young boys in the Bronx. The incident occurred on May 6, and the family reported the abuse nearly a month ago. The police have been monitoring the area around the babysitter's home but have not been able to locate her. If an arrest warrant is issued, the police will be able to enter her apartment and take her into custody. The disturbing footage shows the babysitter hitting the children with a belt and wearing a scary mask to frighten them.

The babysitter, identified as La’keysha Jackson, was filmed beating the children, aged 4 and 6, with a belt and emotionally abusing them. The youngest child, aged 2, was also a victim of her abuse. The family reported that Jackson worked for a home aid provider called Selfhelp, which was contracted by the Administration for Children's Services (ACS). The ACS stated that Jackson no longer works for Selfhelp and is cooperating with the NYPD's investigation. Selfhelp confirmed that Jackson has been terminated and that they conduct drug testing and background checks on their employees.

The children have shown signs of intense aggression towards each other since the incident, according to their mother. She expressed her concern for their well-being and the impact the abuse has had on them. The family is seeking justice for the traumatizing experience the children went through. The authorities are taking the matter seriously and are reviewing the procedures of the contracted provider. The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to ensure the safety and well-being of the children involved in this distressing incident.
