[!CDATA[A man in Alaska has been found guilty of kidnapping and assaulting a woman at a hotel. Martin Hietala, 41, was convicted of kidnapping and three counts of first-degree assault. He was acquitted of five counts of first-degree sexual assault. Hietala allegedly restrained the woman in a Fairbanks hotel in July 2018, repeatedly strangling her and assaulting her with fists and objects. The woman managed to escape when room service workers arrived. Hietala faces a potential sentence of five to 99 years in prison and is set to be sentenced in November.]]
