"Mexican Woman Indicted for Supporting Terrorist Cartel: U.S. Department of Justice Takes Action"

[!CDATA[A 39-year-old Mexican woman has been indicted in the United States for providing support to a cartel designated as a foreign terrorist organization, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Maria Del Rosario Navarro is accused of conspiring to supply grenades to the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG), a powerful Mexican cartel that was designated as a terrorist organization in February. FBI Director Kash Patel emphasized that individuals aligning with terrorist groups will face legal consequences. In addition to the charges related to supporting the cartel, Navarro is also accused of involvement in gun trafficking, smuggling and transporting aliens in the U.S., straw purchasing and trafficking firearms, bulk cash smuggling, and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Two Mexican men are facing gun trafficking charges alongside Navarro in a Texas court. Mexican Security Minister Omar Garcia Harfuch confirmed Navarro's arrest as part of a federal operation in Jalisco state. The U.S. Department of Justice expressed gratitude to Mexican law enforcement for their cooperation in the case. The U.S. has been cracking down on migration and deporting thousands of foreigners to third countries in Latin America in conjunction with the terrorism designations. The arrest of Navarro serves as a warning to those who support terrorist groups that they will be pursued and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.]]
