"Indictment of Maria Del Rosario Navarro-Sanchez: Combating Terrorism and Cartel Activities in the US"

[!CDATA[A Mexican woman named Maria Del Rosario Navarro-Sanchez has been indicted under the U.S.'s new material support of terrorism charges. She is accused of providing material support to the Cartel del Jalisco Nueva Generacion by supplying grenades and assisting in smuggling undocumented individuals, firearms, cash, and narcotics for the organization. Attorney General Pamela Bondi emphasized the havoc that cartels like CJNG wreak in American communities and the Justice Department's commitment to securing borders and protecting Americans through effective prosecution. In addition to the material support charges, Navarro-Sanchez faces charges related to conspiracy to smuggle and transport aliens, straw purchasing and trafficking in firearms, bulk cash smuggling conspiracy, and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Two other individuals, Luis Carlos Davalos-Lopez and Gustavo Castro-Medina, have also been indicted alongside Navarro-Sanchez for various charges related to smuggling, firearms trafficking, and drug distribution. The Cartel del Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) was designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the US Department of State, along with seven other cartels. The CJNG is described as a transnational criminal organization involved in narcotics trafficking, money laundering, bribery, extortion, and other criminal activities, including acts of violence and intimidation. President Donald Trump has directed agencies to work towards the total elimination of cartels due to the serious threats they pose to the nation. The arrest of Maria Del Rosario Navarro-Sanchez serves as a warning to individuals aligning themselves with terrorist groups that they will be pursued and held accountable under the law. FBI Director Kash Patel emphasized the message that those who support terrorist organizations will face the full extent of legal consequences.]]
