Title: Exploring the Engagement and Well-Being of Remote Workers: Insights from Gallup Survey

[!CDATA[Remote workers show higher levels of engagement at work compared to those in hybrid or on-site settings, according to a recent survey by Gallup. The report revealed that 31 percent of remote employees were engaged, which is 8 points higher than their counterparts in hybrid or on-site nonremote-capable roles. However, remote workers were less likely to be thriving, with only 36 percent reporting a sense of thriving compared to 42 percent for on-site remote-capable and hybrid workers. Workers who can only work on-site had the lowest engagement and thriving rates, with less than 2 in 10 feeling engaged at work. Despite their higher engagement levels, fully remote employees reported more feelings of sadness, loneliness, and anger compared to on-site or hybrid workers. Stress levels were similar between hybrid and remote workers at 45 percent, but both groups reported higher stress levels than on-site workers. The survey, which tracks the well-being of employees globally, also found that 57 percent of fully remote workers were actively or passively looking for new job opportunities, with engaged remote workers showing a lower rate of job-seeking behavior at 47 percent. Interestingly, nearly 4 in 10 fully remote employees who are both thriving and engaged admitted to searching for new jobs while on the clock. A separate poll by YouGov indicated that 62 percent of Americans believe their job is meaningful to society. The survey conducted by Gallup included 227,347 workers worldwide from April to December last year, providing insights into the work experiences of employees across different settings. In conclusion, while remote workers exhibit higher levels of engagement at work, they face challenges related to well-being and job satisfaction. The survey highlights the importance of addressing the unique needs of remote employees to ensure their overall well-being and productivity in the workplace.]]
