"Recent Vehicle Recalls: Ford, Volvo, Volkswagen, and Polestar"

[!CDATA[Ford Motor Company has announced a recall of 273,789 vehicles in the U.S. due to a brake function loss that could lead to an increased crash risk. The affected vehicles include certain 2022-2024 model Navigator and Expedition vehicles. The front brake lines in these vehicles may come into contact with the engine air cleaner outlet pipe, potentially causing damage and brake fluid leakage. Ford dealerships will inspect and replace the front brake line and air cleaner outlet pipe if necessary at no cost to the owners. Notifications to owners of the impacted vehicles will begin on May 26. In a separate recall in mid-April, Ford recalled approximately 123,611 vehicles due to the same fluid leak issue. The affected models in that recall were the 2017-18 Ford F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator. Owners can check if their vehicle is on the recall list on the NHTSA's website. Last week, the NHTSA announced multiple car recalls, including over 400,000 Volvo vehicles. Certain Volvo models were recalled due to a glitch causing the rearview camera to black out in reverse. Volvo reported no wrecks or injuries related to the issue. Volkswagen also issued a recall for over 89,400 vehicles due to improperly tightened cylinder head cover screws that could lead to engine oil leakage and a fire risk if the leaked oil ignites. Polestar also issued recalls for certain Polestar 3 vehicles over an issue causing the rearview camera to malfunction in reverse. This recall covers 3,664 vehicles.
