A tough-on-crime Republican district attorney is using his years of prosecuting some of the most infamous cases in Colorado to crack down on crime across the blue state. In January, George Brauchler became the first-ever district attorney for Colorado’s 23rd Judicial District, making it the first time in more than 60 years that Colorado added a new judicial district.
