A retired nonprofit worker thought she won about $12,800 through a Maryland Lottery promotion — and she was happy about it, lottery officials said.But it turned out Jocelyn Quinitchette’s windfall was much bigger.The Laurel woman actually won $112,853 — not the lesser amount — in the Monopoly Second-Chance Promotion, lottery officials said in a May 9 news release.Quinitchette didn’t put on her glasses when she first checked the lottery website, and she missed a digit, according to lottery officials.“I told my mom that I won $12,000.
